WAT ABOUT US
Once upon a time in the vibrant workshops of Bangkok, Thailand, a vision was born. A vision that transcends mere jewelry, aiming to embody resilience, rich history, and the essence of local culture. After months of meticulous craftsmanship, inspired by a chance encounter with a school book, a captivating story unfolded.
In the heart of our creations lies the Thai alphabet, an enduring symbol of years of history and tradition. Seeking to elevate its essence and offer a fresh perspective, we gave life to Wat Charms.
Our charms are a poetic fusion of carefully selected letters from the Thai alphabet. Much like a child connecting letters with words and adding descriptive nuances, we intricately merged each element. Embracing the distinctive loop that graces most Thai letters, we adorned them with gemstones, ensuring legibility while enhancing their unique charm.
Wat Charms is more than just a showcase of craftsmanship and culture; it’s a daily reminder of our commitment to making a positive impact. As we navigate our journey, a portion of our profits contributes to various sectors, including the environment, children’s education, animal welfare, and ecology, through our WAT A WONDERFUL WORLD PROJECT. Join us in creating a beautiful world with purpose and passion.

QUALITY
SILVER SYMBOLISM
Since ancient times, silver has been closely associated with the moon and was given the symbol of a semicircle by the Egyptians, which later evolved into a moon-like icon due to its likeness to the glow of the moon.
Apollo, the god of truth and light, carried a silver bow, and silver has traditionally been given as a symbol of trust, wisdom and love. For centuries, artists and craftspeople have prized silver for its brilliant lustre and malleability, making it the ideal choice for ornamental use: the metal can be hammered so thin that a stack of 100,000 sheets of silver is less than one inch in thickness.
Silver is also known for its natural antibacterial and antiviral properties, actively breaking down the cell walls of bacteria and often used in ointments and lotions.
During the bubonic plague in the Middle Ages, the wealthy ate from silver utensils to avoid infection, thus coining the saying: “Born with a silver spoon in his/her mouth.”
PROTECTION
RHODIUM PLATING
Plating is the process of depositing a thin layer of one type of metal onto the surface of another. It is usually applied to jewellery to add visual appeal as well as added protection and durability.
CARE
GEMSTONES
The shape of a stone determines the look of a piece of jewellery, and it also determines the shape and size of its setting. Lapidary is the art of working with gemstone cuts and polishing and it is an ancient technique that can be traced back thousands of years where artisans crafted tools from rocks and ornaments from precious gems and stones. Gemstone cutting is the process of turning rough, unpolished stones into gemstones for use in jewellery, giving them a specific shape and enabling their brilliance and colour to emerge.
The gemstones used in WAT CHARMS jewellery are cut and faceted before being shipped from our suppliers. The natural stones we use are most often cut and polished by hand.

PROUD TO WORK WITH OUR FACTORY
Our factory is committed as part of our business strategy and operations to the betterment of our Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance impact
FIRST TO BE SOLAR POWERED
Our 1500 sqm (and increasing) solar panels and batteries along with our building management system helps us control and monitor all of the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting, and power systems.
On average, 75% of our energy consumption comes from our solar, with the aim to be 100% by year-end.
GREEN LOOP WATER SYSTEM
All the production processes water is recycled with a state of the art water treatment system that generates in return lab-grade water.
The factory has been built on the concept of collecting, filtering, cleaning, and recycling to create a greener close-loop system. This is what we have done by collecting rainwater and recycling all our water usage. Only 10% of ‘new’ water is used.
BREATHE IN CLEAN AIR
Mindful of the health of the team associates, the factory has a stringent dust filtration system.
Dust generated by polishing and grinding is collected by spot exhaust suction through a l µm filter.
Thereafter, the air is further filtered through HEPA filters.
Adequate fresh air is provided into the production area through primary air handling units where the fresh air is filtered, dehumidified, and cooled. The air-conditioning system is designed to be compartmentalized, minimizing the spread of chemical vapors and odors.
